so it took a little longer aaaaaaber it is now finally happening. In the coming days or weeks, as soon as I can spare more time, additional step-by-step tutorials follow .....
;-) Unfortunately I have dragged my cold (I would have preferred to recuperate at Christmas time, but no I had with the family romping in the snow, build snowmen, snow angels in the snow .... It was so much fun) now I have to do with my cold a little longer ........ The kids I have now been infected naturally "successful" and I have to again for days with 2 febrile "mice" deal .... soooo bitchy girls can be * * lol especially when they are sick ....
soooooo, yet you remember this quilt here:
do you remember this quilt here?!
Dark Snowball Quilt PDF file 1.13 MB
or here / or here
The quilt has a size of about 58 "x 70" (148 cm x 178 cm), each block including the seam allowance is: 6 1 / 2 "x 6 1 / 2" tall (finished 6 "x 6")
The quilt consists of 63 blocks and sewing (now comes the beautiful ....) to get 252 x 2 "x" Half Square Triangles 2 bonus ;-)))) and this can, of course for a further Quilt used if it is not a great idea * lol *
The finished quilt is: about 58 "x 70" (148 cm x 178 cm), each block's size with seam allowance will be: 6 1 / 2 "x 6 1 / 2" ( finished at 6 "x 6")
The whole quilt contains 63 blocks, and now the best: you will recive 252 x 2 "x 2" half square triangle units during the piecing procedure Which ;? can be used for the next quilt project ;-))))) great is not it
- It takes 11 dark, different substances 6.5 "x 42" (I have 10 different uses for it but the black fabric cut 2 strips)
- many 2.5 "wide strips
- You will need 11 x dark, various fabrics: 6.5". x 42 ", I've used 10 different fabrics but cut One more from the black fabric.
- many 2.5 "wide background fabrics
- from the dark matter 63 quads 6.5" Cut x 6.5 "(one gets cut from each strip about 6 squares)
- from the bright 252 x 2.5 x 2.5 "
- from the Dark Cut out 63 x 6.5" x 6.5 "( you will get 6 squares from each strip)
- from the background 252 x 2.5 x 2.5 "
First place a seam as shown in the photo below:
stitch the first line like on the picture below:
then another, which makes her then every corner
then stitch repeat once more, in each corner:
iron then turn it over and between the two sewn lines intersect:
press, turn over and cut between the 2 sewn lines:
then, from each block 4 bonus squares ;-)))
'll get 4 bonus helped cut square triangle units from each block ;-)))
the squares equal to a size of 2 "x 2" because if the Quilt is finished first ..... glad you are ready to 252 squares that can be used equally for a quilt ;-))))
trim the squares down to 2 "x 2", after finishing your quilt you will be happy to have 252 of them for another project ;-)))
here an idea what one can make from the bonus squares: for example, "Shoo Fly block"
here an idea what you can make using the bonus squares : for example "Shoo Fly block"
your block looks like this:
your block looks like this:
then put the blocks together and sew together:
sew the blocks together:
for indoor and outdoor Borders simply photo
for the inner and outer borders click on image to enlarge::
for Aussenbordüre I've used the same materials from which I cut the squares to enlarge click I ,-)))
for the outer borders I've used the same fabrics which I took for my blocks.
